Cookie Preferences

Categories of storage
We use strictly necessary storage to keep sessions stable, remember cookie choices, and protect forms from basic abuse. Optional analytics storage helps us see which lesson pages need clearer examples.
Preference storage remembers display choices such as theme mode on supported browsers. Marketing cookies are not deployed by default for public visitors.
Representative entries include: fs_theme (UI continuity, twelve months, first-party), fs_cookie_consent (preference proof, twelve months, first-party), session identifiers for authenticated lab portals (session, first-party), and analytics_sample when opted in (six months, first-party analytics category).
Who manages preferences
The privacy inbox at hello@portal-network.one coordinates cookie questions and assists with preference resets when browsers block local controls.
Third-party modules
Embedded webinar or video vendors may set their own cookies when you launch optional previews. Those vendors publish their own policies, which we link from the relevant course pages when previews are enabled.
Managing preferences
Use the cookie card on first visit or the Cookie Preferences link in the footer to adjust optional categories. Browsers also offer global controls; some block necessary cookies and may break authentication flows.
Consent and withdrawal
Where consent is required, we log the decision and honor withdrawals on subsequent visits. Withdrawal does not undo lawfully processed analytics from before the withdrawal timestamp.
Updates to this notice
We revise this notice when vendors or regulators require new disclosures. Material changes receive a new last updated date and, when feasible, a banner reminder for returning visitors.
Impact of disabling categories
Disabling analytics does not remove access to syllabi or pricing. Disabling all local storage may require re-entering preferences each visit and can interrupt long lab sessions that rely on lightweight state.
Operational questions
If a browser extension clears storage aggressively, reconfirm preferences using the footer link. Classroom facilitators can request temporary analytics suppression for privacy-sensitive cohorts through hello@portal-network.one.
