Scope and roles
This Privacy Notice explains how FailSafe Academy collects, uses, and shares personal data when you browse portal-network.one, register for programs, or communicate with us from the Republic of Korea or abroad.
We act as a data controller for marketing, enrollment, and billing records tied to our academy operations. Where we process data strictly on behalf of an enterprise client, supplemental data processing terms in the enterprise agreement prevail for that processing.
Contacting the privacy office
Privacy inquiries, including rights requests, may be sent to hello@portal-network.one with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We verify identity proportionally to the risk of the request and respond within timelines required by applicable Korean law.
If you represent a corporate client, please route requests through your administrator when your contract designates a single point of contact.
Processors and recipients
We use infrastructure and communications vendors for email delivery, webinar hosting, and secure file exchange. Contracts include confidentiality and security obligations consistent with the sensitivity of training records.
We do not sell personal data. Analytics vendors receive truncated identifiers where used, and you may decline non-essential analytics through the cookie preferences link in the site footer.
Retention
Enrollment records are retained for the period needed to administer programs, issue certificates, and meet tax and accounting duties, typically seven years for financial records unless a shorter period is justified and documented.
Marketing contacts are refreshed periodically; inactive subscribers are removed after a defined inactivity window unless a legitimate interest assessment supports limited retention.
Purposes of processing
We process data to deliver courses, provide mentor feedback, secure sessions, improve materials, and comply with law. Automated decisions with legal effects are not used for admissions; human reviewers handle exceptions.
Where consent is the basis for optional communications, you may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
Categories collected
Identifiers such as name, business email, and phone; professional details like job title; technical data like IP address and device type; and content you submit in forms or labs. Payment references may appear on invoices handled by approved processors.
Sensitive categories are not requested unless a specialized program explicitly requires them and provides a separate notice.
Your rights
Depending on circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability where technically feasible. Objection rights apply to certain marketing processing. We explain any limitations grounded in law or legitimate interests.
You may lodge a complaint with the Korea Personal Information Protection Commission or another competent authority without prejudice to other remedies.
Security measures
We apply access controls, encryption in transit, logging, and vendor due diligence reviews. No method of transmission is perfectly secure; you should protect credentials and report suspected incidents promptly.
Cross-border transfers
When data leaves Korea, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions where recognized, plus supplementary measures when risk assessments warrant them.
